As you get more senior, you may have to interview with the CEO to get the job. How can you prepare? This NYT Q&A with Sue Desmond-Hellman, the CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, lists her standard interview questions, which are all very straightforward: 

  1. Why you are interested in this role?
  2. How has your career path brought you to this point?
  3. Give examples of how you lead.
  4. What is your track record, including how you handle the unexpected?
