4 Ways to Get a Recruiter’s Attention

  • On March 1, 2015

I like how this entrepreneur lays out 4 ways to get a recruiter’s attention (and, yes, they work with me):

  1. Build your brand. Be personable and known for your expertise. Attend relevant events and network effectively.
  2. Be visible online. Your LinkedIn profile needs to be current and represent you well. Put some care and thought into it, from a professional picture to the summary of what you do.
  3. Stay in touch. Even if an opportunity that a recruiter presents to you doesn’t work out, stay in touch (in a helpful way!) so that you continue to hear about new opportunities. One way to stay top of mind is to refer good people.
  4. Excel at what you do.
